Bristol Management Services Achieves 3× ROI on Fleet Safety Investment with Netradyne

Company Overview
Bristol Management Services is a leading construction materials and ready-mix concrete provider operating across California and Nevada. The company manages a fleet of approximately 675 vehicles and 475 drivers, including ready-mix trucks, tractor trailers, service vehicles, and sales cars.
With roots dating back to 1949, Bristol is part of one of California’s largest family-owned ready-mix concrete networks. The company supports a diverse customer base, delivering specialty concrete mixes and executing large-scale infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, and public works.
Challenge
Bristol’s previous fleet safety solution, Lytx, no longer aligned with the company’s operational needs. The primary challenge was workflow inefficiency. The solution relied heavily on manual video review, placing a significant administrative burden on plant managers. Instead of focusing on coaching drivers and managing operations, teams spent valuable time sorting through footage to identify coachable events. This made it difficult to maintain consistent safety standards across a large, distributed fleet.
Operational risk compounded the issue. In ready-mix concrete delivery, drivers have roughly 90 minutes to complete a delivery before the product sets and becomes unusable. Any delay can result in a rejected load and a total loss of that order’s value. Bristol needed a way to identify and address driver risk in real time without adding to managers’ already heavy workloads.
Additionally, limited driving context made claims resolution slower and more difficult, increasing legal and financial exposure. Integration was another key requirement, as Bristol needed a solution that would work seamlessly with its existing Geotab telematics platform.
“With Lytx, a human was filtering the videos. With Netradyne, that process is now automated, which has streamlined how much time our plant managers are spending triaging alerts, allowing them to focus more on high-impact coaching.”

Solution
Bristol wanted a safety program built around a different model — one where technology and human behavior work together to create lasting change. After evaluating multiple providers, including Samsara and Lytx, the company selected Netradyne for its ability to coach drivers at the point of risk, recognize good driving, and deliver accurate detections rooted in full context — helping build the driver trust needed to make safer behavior stick.
Netradyne automatically detects and surfaces risky driving behaviors without requiring manual video review. This removed the need for plant managers to sift through footage and allowed them to focus on coaching drivers and managing operations more effectively. Its native integration with Geotab ensured continuity within Bristol’s existing telematics ecosystem.
The rollout followed a structured, organization-wide deployment. Drivers, plant managers, and regional leaders participated in a combination of on-site and remote training to ensure consistency. Netradyne was also incorporated into Bristol’s new driver onboarding so that safety expectations and questions were transparently addressed from day one. A dedicated customer success manager supported implementation and adoption throughout the rollout period.
Adoption was reinforced across all levels of the organization. Plant managers used dashboards to monitor driver behavior and prioritize coaching based on the severity of event alerts within defined timelines. Regional leaders connected safety incentives to GreenZone Score targets, creating accountability at the site level. At the corporate level, leadership reviewed aggregated fleet-wide data on a weekly basis to track performance trends and support incident investigations.
Over time, managers improved efficiency by grouping similar behaviors into a single coaching session. This allowed them to address patterns of risk rather than isolated incidents and made coaching more impactful.
Netradyne’s GreenZone Score provided continuous visibility across 100 percent of drive time, shifting Bristol’s safety program from reactive event review to proactive risk management.
“The reporting feature allows us to generate actionable data we never had before. Being able to trust that data is critical because it impacts people’s pocketbook.”

Results
Since implementing Netradyne, Bristol has improved safety performance, reduced administrative burden, and lowered insurance-related costs, resulting in an estimated 3× return on investment over a course of three years.
With immediate access to video evidence, the company can now report incidents to its insurance carrier the same day and quickly determine whether to defend or accept a claim.
Key results include:
- GreenZone Score targets increased from 850 to 950, and then to 1,000, with teams consistently exceeding benchmarks within months
- $24,000 annual insurance incentive tied to program adoption
- 95% of drivers are in full compliance, with just 5% accounting for the majority of high-risk events
In one incident, a Bristol driver was sideswiped. Netradyne automatically generated a collision alert with multi-angle HD video, eliminating the need to manually search for video. When a legal claim later alleged multiple injuries and attempted to assign fault to Bristol, the company’s attorney used the footage to immediately refute the claim. The case was dismissed the following day.
In another case, a driver’s vehicle was sideswiped overnight by a hit-and-run driver. By the next morning, Bristol had already received an automated collision alert and First-Notice-of-Loss report from Netradyne. The team reviewed the footage and filed the claim the same day. The driver, who followed proper procedures, was later recognized with a DriverStar award.
“It improved our speed of response and reduced the severity of accidents, which ultimately lowers costs.”

Next Steps
Bristol is continuing to enhance fleet safety by evaluating Netradyne’s Side Vision Assist, part of its 360° AI Camera Solution. This technology uses side-mounted cameras to detect blind-spot risks and deliver real-time in-cab alerts during lane changes. An optional in-vehicle display provides drivers with a live video feed of blind spots at critical moments.
The company is also exploring proximity sensor technologies to further improve situational awareness.
With Netradyne fully embedded in its safety program and strong alignment across the organization, Bristol is well positioned to continue reducing risk and improving performance across its fleet.
“You must commit fully to get the value of the system. Organizational alignment is critical.”
