Every day, across thousands of routes and millions of miles, professional drivers make countless decisions that keep themselves, their cargo, and everyone around them safe. They maintain their following distance at 65 miles per hour. They come to a complete stop at every stop sign. They stay alert through the last hour of a long shift. Most of the time, nobody notices — because nothing went wrong.

At Netradyne, we notice. And we think it's time the rest of the world did too.

That's why we're proud to introduce the 2026 Netradyne Top Driver Awards — our inaugural recognition program honoring the professional drivers who set the standard for safety, consistency, and excellence on the road. The program is open to all current U.S.-based Netradyne customers. If you manage a fleet on the Netradyne platform and have a driver who shows up and drives well every day — this is for them.

From the start, we wanted to build something that felt as significant as the achievement it honors — an in-person celebration, a professionally produced story, and recognition that reaches far beyond the cab to the families and communities behind every safe mile driven. Because the best drivers deserve more than a score. They deserve a moment worth remembering.

Every winner receives exactly that: a celebration at their workplace attended by Netradyne representatives and fleet leadership, a trophy, personalized certificate, a nd custom branded jacket, and a professionally produced video captured onsite. That story gets shared across Netradyne's website, press releases, and social channels — so the people who matter most get to see it too.

Grounded in the most rigorous scoring in the industry

What separates the Top Driver Awards from any other recognition program is what's under the hood: the Netradyne GreenZone® Score.

Built on billions of miles of real-world driving data, the GreenZone Score is the industry's first driver scoring algorithm to analyze 100% of captured driving time. It accounts for every risk indicator — speeding, sign violations, hard braking, distracted driving, forward collision warnings, following distance, and more — alongside positive behaviors like safe following distance and sustained safe-driving streaks. And critically, it uses alert rates, not raw counts, so a driver running a longer route or a higher-risk corridor isn't penalized unfairly compared to someone driving an easier loop.

Three categories. One standard of excellence.

We designed the awards to celebrate different expressions of driver greatness — not just the driver with the highest score, but the one who improved the most, and the one who showed it early.

Top Driver Recognizes exceptional GreenZone scores, sustained safe-driving streaks, and minimal alerts over the full 12-month evaluation period.

Rising Star Honors the driver who improved the most — the largest GreenZone score increase or greatest reduction in risky events, comparing the first six months to the second.

Rookie Open to drivers with at least six months of experience with their current organization. Recognizes exceptional early progress and performance relative to peers.

Winners are selected across six industry verticals: Trucking, Distribution, Home & Commercial Services, Infrastructure & Construction Services, Waste & Sanitation, and Passenger Transit — because excellent driving looks different depending on the road you're on.

How nominations work

To be eligible, your organization must be a current U.S.-based Netradyne customer active for at least 12 months (six months for the Rookie category), with at least 95% device deployment across your fleet. There is no cost to participate.

Nominating your driver is how you give them the recognition they've earned. Submit the official nomination form on their behalf — complete all sections including driver background, safety history, and a performance assessment — and attach their last 12 months of GreenZone performance data (six months for Rookie nominations).

From there, our Driver Awards Committee takes over. They review every nomination alongside GreenZone data extracted directly from Netradyne systems. Candidates are evaluated on score averages, safe-driving streaks, risky event counts, and improvement trends. Where candidates are closely matched, safety signal history — accident record, moving violations, CSA inspection results — serves as a tiebreaker.

It's a process designed to be rigorous, fair, and fully transparent. And the platform you already rely on for coaching? It's also the best advocate your driver has.
