RPM Pizza Drives Operational Efficiency, Reduces At-Fault Accidents with Netradyne

Company Summary
RPM Pizza LLC is one of the largest Domino’s Pizza franchisees in the United States, operating 137 stores across the Midwest and Southeast. Founded in 1981 by Richard and Glenn Mueller and headquartered in Gulfport, Mississippi, this family-owned company runs a high-volume, time-sensitive delivery operation. Its logistics network includes more than 1,700 drivers and a fleet of over 50 company-owned vehicles, along with more than 1,000 additional delivery vehicles.
Challenge
When RPM Pizza’s leadership set out to reduce delivery-related crashes, the primary challenge was influencing driver behavior in real time. With more than 1,700 drivers operating personal vehicles across 137 stores, there was no reliable way to understand what was happening on the road until after an incident occurred.
“At RPM Pizza, our goal is to be world class in driver and Team Member safety, and we constantly strive for zero crashes.”
— Glenn Mueller, Co Founder and Chief Safety Officer
Risky behaviors such as distracted driving, tailgating, and rolling stops were difficult to detect and even harder to coach without objective data. Delivery-related crashes represented more than $2 million in annual loss exposure. In addition, verifying trip activity and resolving customer disputes required significant manual effort, which slowed operations and created accountability gaps across the network.
RPM Pizza needed a solution that could both surface risk in real time and improve operational efficiency across fleet tracking, maintenance, and fuel usage.

Solution
RPM Pizza deployed Netradyne’s AI-powered video safety and fleet management platform beginning in Q4 2024, installing more than 600 Driver•i D-215 dual-facing camera systems across 51 stores.
Because drivers use personal vehicles, RPM Pizza partnered with Netradyne to develop temporary suction-cup mounts with 12V power connections. This approach avoided permanent modifications while enabling fast, scalable deployment. The collaboration continues as both teams refine the mounting solution to meet evolving operational needs.
The Driver•i D-215 analyzes 100% of drive time using onboard edge AI and delivers real-time, in-cab alerts the moment risky behavior is detected. Instead of relying on post-incident reporting, drivers receive immediate feedback, allowing them to correct behavior before it escalates.
RPM Pizza uses Netradyne as both an offensive and defensive tool. On the offensive side, it enables continuous monitoring and coaching throughout every delivery, reinforcing safer driving habits over time. On the defensive side, it provides objective video evidence when incidents occur, replacing conflicting accounts with clear documentation that protects drivers and accelerates resolution.
Netradyne’s GreenZone® Score further reinforces performance through continuous, recognition-based coaching. Drivers can track their progress in the mobile app, review events, and follow targeted recommendations. This helps build a culture of accountability and safe, fuel-efficient driving.
“Netradyne has been a game changing technology for us providing immediate AI coaching inside the Team Member’s vehicle for every delivery that reinforces safe driving habits alongside our best-in-class policies, procedures, and training.”
— James Virgil, Director of Safety, Security, and Loss Prevention
Results
Within the initial deployment period, RPM Pizza approached its crash reduction target and drove measurable behavioral improvements across the fleet. The figures below reflect year-to-date results through the end of April:
Key results include:
- GreenZone Score of 973 out of 1,000, surpassing the fleet goal of 850
- Video coverage expanded from single-digit percentages toward nearly 100% of all deliveries
- 8 instances year-to-date where video footage was shared with law enforcement, enabling same-day fault determination without waiting for a police report
- 66% reduction in at-fault accidents in first quarter of implementation, driving strong momentum towards the 50% year-over-year target
- 0% severe speeding violations across the fleet
- 24% week-over-week reduction in driver distraction, with incidents reduced to 0.28%
- 22% week-over-week reduction in severe stop sign violations
- Average following distance improved to 4.1 seconds, reducing tailgating risk
“One Team Member described the Netradyne camera as having a ‘guardian angel in the car,’ helping drivers get home safely to their kids, while also providing critical video evidence that protects our people, supports law enforcement, and keeps the public safe.”
— Ted Mueller, Senior Director of Risk Management and Legal

Next Steps
RPM Pizza and Netradyne continue to expand the program. An in-store safety dashboard is currently in development to display live fleet performance on store TV screens, giving managers real-time visibility without added administrative burden. The dashboard will include live driver locations, alert heat maps, GreenZone Score rankings at both store and fleet levels, performance trends, and real-time collision alerts.
Driving mileage is also being integrated into the Netradyne Driver app, providing visibility into actual delivery mileage across the fleet. In addition, self-coaching functionality is being rolled out, requiring Team Members to review coaching events before starting a shift or completing their next delivery. This reduces the need for manual manager intervention.
RPM Pizza is also expanding its use of Netradyne’s preventative maintenance, fuel management, and GPS tracking capabilities across its broader network. By unifying safety, coaching, and operations within a single platform, RPM Pizza is well positioned to drive continued improvement across all 137 stores.
