Our Customer Obsession Tour recently made its way through the Midwest, visiting three incredible partners: Veriha Trucking, Schneider, and Halvor Lines. From Wisconsin to Minnesota, RV Nessie was on the road connecting with the teams that make transportation happen every day.

Our journey began north of Green Bay in Marinette, Wisconsin, at Veriha Trucking. Founded in 1978 by John Veriha, the company started as a one-man operation hauling goods as far as California. Today, under the leadership of his daughter, Karen Smerchek, Veriha Trucking provides transportation solutions across 48 states and parts of Canada.

We spent the day with Veriha’s Netradyne champions, Karen Smerchek, President; Leigh Olsen, VP of Fleet Development; Tim Kordula, Safety and Training Development Director; and drivers Jeff Leslie and Andy Patterson. We even got a peek at Veriha’s Driver Academy, where new drivers practiced navigating heavy snow on their simulator. The day wrapped up with a dinner celebration! Thank you to the Veriha team for sharing your time, insights, and that unmistakable family-first culture.
