Meet The Team
Prior to founding Netradyne, Avneesh was Senior Vice President of Technology and Business at Qualcomm for over 10 years. During this period, he led Qualcomm’s Global Research lab and 4G LTE research and chipset product development. Since 2011, he was President of Qualcomm India & South Asia responsible for Qualcomm’s business, sales & marketing operations in the region.
Avneesh has a BS in Computer Systems Engineering, and an MS & PhD in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford University. Avneesh has been granted over 150 US patents. He is passionate about converting research ideas into commercial reality. At Netradyne, his focus is on ensuring we use the latest advances in Computer Vision and Deep Learning in making our roads safer.
David has over 20 years of experience in High Tech R&D and has a passion for learning new things and taking ideas from concept to realization. Before co-founding Netradyne, David worked on bring digital communications to HF radio and analyzed Satellite communication as well as supported Voyager and Cassini Deep Space programs at NASAs Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). David studied Information Theory at Stanford under Prof. Tom Cover; he went on to cofound Mountain View Analytics, a financial investment start-up, with Prof. Cover and served as CTO from concept to investments. He then worked up to Principal Engineer in Qualcomm Research over the last 12 years and was awarded 107 US patents covering a wide range of technologies. He was the Project and Systems Engineering Lead of a multi-disciplinary team for Qualcomm’s ultra-low-power and ranging ultra-wideband R&D effortstaking it from concept to system-on-chip (SOC) prototypes. For the last 3 years David focused on Qualcomm’s Zeroth Neuromorphic technology where he initiated the use of Deep Convolutional Networks and led the Deep Learning sub-team. The Qualcomm Zeroth team achieved the best performance amongst participants on the 2015 NIST TRECVID semantic indexing task for video, which involved classifying and ranking video clips for 60 different semantic categories. David has a BSEE from New Mexico State University, and an MSEE and PHD in EE from Stanford.
David sees near infinite potential for Computer Vision and Deep Learning to solve things from everyday problems to highly specialized use-cases from automotive, healthcare and energy exploration, to recreation and entertainment. He is working to accelerate making more of these a reality.
Sandeep is a Wireless/High Tech industry veteran with over 20 years of experience defining, developing, and commercializing advanced products across the globe. His product experience includes senior marketing and engineering roles introducing 3G/4G products & services in the infrastructure, device, carrier, and semiconductor space. His general management / P&L experience includes oversight of multi-billion dollar product portfolios.
Prior to Netradyne, he served as Vice President of Product Management at Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, the world’s largest provider of wireless chipsets and software solutions. During his 10+ year tenure at Qualcomm, he was instrumental in driving the introduction of more than two dozen of Qualcomm’s leading Snapdragon™ handset and Gobi™ modem chipsets (MSM/QSC/MDM) across multiple product segments (Android/Windows smartphones, Internet-of-Things (IOT) devices, Machine to Machine (M2M) industrial & telematics modules, and wearables). Specific Qualcomm portfolios included UMTS Mass Market MSM6xxx chipsets, all Gobi™ MDM6xxx/8xxx/9xxx chipsets, and the Snapdragon™ High (S600) and Mid Tier (S400).
Prior to Qualcomm, his tenure includes Motorola, Leap Wireless, The Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, and The National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA).
Sandeep earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His thesis work focused on applying Case-Based Machine Learning techniques in the Robot Motion Planning domain.
Sandeep believes that the world is experiencing a technological renaissance and that the nexus of artificial intelligence, computer vision, ubiquitous connectivity, and access to the worlds knowledge base through the internet will fundamentally reshape and improve the way people live, work and play globally. He is determined to help lead that change.
Vinay has over 17 years of experience building industry leading SaaS products for Payments, Fraud Prevention and Big Data Analytics. Prior to Netradyne, Vinay was Director of Engineering at CA Technologies, where he worked on Big Data Analytics product initiative. Previously, at Arcot Systems (acquired by CA Technologies), he was responsible for Risk Analytics product suite. Vinay also led development of TransFort, an industry leader in 3DSecure solutions.
Vinay was part of the core team at Arcot India which was Arcot’s engineering headquarters. Vinay had the opportunity to work on 2 of the 3 key products at Arcot and built sub-products from scratch that were rated best in the industry. These products helped largest financial institutions reduce CNP (card not present) fraud and provide excellent experience to their customers.
Vinay holds a Bachelors degree from IIT Kanpur.
Vinay is passionate about building products for large scale impacting people’s lives in a positive way. At Netradyne, Vinay’s focus is on building robust and scalable platform for analyzing large volumes of streaming data and providing real-time feedback.
Teja has more than 16 years of international experience (China, India & Germany) in Mobile platforms R&D, product development and business development. He has proven track record in building technology teams from scratch and in executing parallel, complex and multi continental projects to deliver high quality deliverables on time, especially in building new platforms and operating systems.
In his previous role as Vice President of R&D at Micromax Informatics Ltd. he established the Engineering division in Bangalore (SW Development) and in Beijing (HW, Mechanics & ID) from scratch. He delivered fully in house designed YU product portfolio, a subsidiaryMobile brand of Micromax that has been established to compete with tier 1 brands.
Prior to joining Micromax, he was with Nokia for more than 14 years where he had been part of multiple product and platform deliveries.During his stint at Nokia, Beijing, as a Director of R&D for Nokia X portfolio, he conceptualized and led the Nokia X platform, which was Nokia’s first Android compatible platform, shipping more than 7 million devices in 3-quarters. Teja also managed Nokia’s first Dual SIM 3G & 2G platform successfully out of Beijing, in shortest possible schedule, shipping more than 15 million devices.
Prior to being in Beijing, he managed multiple technology components for Symbian platform in Nokia, Bangalore including GPS asset, Operator compliant features and packages for T-Mobile US, VF Global, AT&T US and Orange Europe. Teja also spent around 7 years in Nokia, R&D center in Ulm, Germany where he managed multiple product deliveries.
Teja holds MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Masters in Communications Technology from University of Ulm, Germany and Bachelors in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam.

Adam Kahn is a strategic customer-focused executive with more than 20 years of transportation industry experience. With expertise in value creation, end-user best practices, safety and creating referenceable customers he brings deep domain experience to the Netradyne team. He is a Certified Transportation Professional (CTP®) delivering comprehensive expertise into the transportation & logistics industry. Providing domain insight into emerging trends, impact of compliance & regulations, segmentation analysis, safety & operational telematics, data utilization, and detailed buyer/user personas.
Previous to joining Netradyne, Adam held positions at SmartDrive Systems, Omnitracs, Bendix, and Detroit Diesel led multiple cross-functional teams, developed and drove go-to-market strategy, developed channel enablement programs and defined programs that produced and accelerated revenue growth.
Adam received his bachelors degree at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, and a masters degree in business administration from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield Michigan.
Adam draws from his generational trucking heritage and is passionate in delivering technology that continuously improves the safety environment for drivers, working as their advocate to ensure that they are successful at work and get home to their family at night.

Sreekanth joins Netradyne from Qualcomm, where he applied Deep Learning and prototyped Computer Vision applications. He also researched on strategies to compress neural networks, so embedded devices such as smartphones can efficiently process and understand sensory information. He worked on several variants of neural networks including Restricted Boltzmann Machines (RBMs), Deep Belief Networks (DBNs), Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs) and Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs). Sreekanth has a BTech from IIT Madras, and an MS & PhD from University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. His doctoral work was in the area of information theory concerning fundamental limits of wireless systems.
Sreekanth envisions that several science fiction concepts will soon turn into reality, thanks to the recent breakthroughs in deep learning and computer vision. He is excited to be part of this at Netradyne.
Michael is a computational neuroscientist who has always been driven to understand the brain well enough so that he could create one. He studied Computation and Neural Systems at Caltech (PhD ’07) and was on the faculty at Harvard (Instructor of Neurosurgery), before turning to industry in 2011 when he joined Qualcomm to develop a brain-inspired neural processor. At Netradyne, Michael is harnessing the latest advances in Deep Reinforcement Learning to build out the brains inside intelligent cameras.
Arvind received his PhD from Texas A&M University and his B. Tech from IIT Madras. He loves working on machine learning and exploratory data analysis. The recent breakthroughs in Deep Learning have enabled the the proliferation of AI into day-to-day activities and he is excited to be a part of this renaissance. Prior to joining Netradyne, he was at Samsung Research in San Diego, working on improving the state-of-the-art in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) using Deep Learning techniques.
Jonathan is a Deep Learning researcher with a passion for advancing the state of the art in decision making, measurement and detection with nonlinear systems. Prior to joining Netradyne, he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories for five years, in addition to a stint at Qualcomm Research as a Deep Learning Researcher. While at Sandia, Jonathan conducted a wide range of research from Deep Learning to computational photonics.
Jonathan holds a S.B., M.Eng. and Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS). His Ph.D. work was performed in the Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE) in the Optics and Quantum Electronics group, where his doctoral thesis focused on the engineering and physics of sub-femtosecond nonlinear optics of ultrafast lasers. As Deep Learning is the study of optimization and engineering of highly nonlinear systems, Jonathan brings deep knowledge from the physics community to artificial neural networks.

Prof. Arogyaswami J. Paulraj
Paulraj is an Emeritus Professorat Stanford University. He earned a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, India, in 1973.
After a 25 year service in the Indian Navy, Paulraj joined Stanford University in 1991. He proposed the MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) concept in 1992 which is the key to today’s 4G cellular and WiFi wireless networks.
In 1999, Paulraj founded Iospan Wireless Inc. and the company was acquired by Intel Corp in 2003. Iospan pioneered MIMO-OFDMA used in 4G technology. In 2003, Paulraj co-founded Beceem Communications Inc. which became the leader in 4G /WIMAX chip sets. Beceem was acquired by Broadcom Corp. in 2010.
Paulraj is an ISI Thomson most highly cited researcher with two textbooks on MIMO. He has published over 350 archival papers and a co-inventor in over 63 patents. He has graduated over 50 doctoral and post-doctoral students at Stanford.
Paulraj has over 30 recognitions which include the 2014 Marconi Prize and the 2011 IEEE Alexander Graham Bell medal. He is a member of eight national academies including the US National Academy of Engineering, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences and The World Academy of Sciences. He is a fellow of IEEE andAAAS. He has received a number of recognitions in India including the Padma Bhushan, the nation’s third highest civilian honor.
Paulraj is a Visiting Professor at the Beijing Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing and the Imperial College, London and a Distinguished Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
Murli Buluswar Chief Science Officer at AIG
Murli Buluswar is 20+ year veteran of the Insurance and Financial Services industry. He is currently the Chief Science Officer for AIG. Mr. Buluswar is responsible for leading the Science Team, whose mission it is to help the business achieve a competitive advantage by infusing consistent science-driven innovation. He is coordinating AIG’s existing analytics teams, building additional capabilities in these areas and forging strategic links with scientists in academia in relevant disciplines. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Buluswar was Vice President of Enterprise Customer Experience at Farmers Insurance, responsible for defining and executing a complete customer experience vision with the goal of improving voice of the customer metrics and defined financial measures. His preceding role as Vice President of Insight and Innovation (I&I) at Farmers Insurance enabled him to establish the Internal Analytics Consulting Group to identify and drive new opportunities for the business.
Mr. Buluswar was also Vice President of Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning for Answer Financial; Business Unit Manager and Product Manager, Strategic Alliances for Progressive Corporation; and Senior Statistician and Business Analyst for Capital One. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Bluffton University, an M.S. in Statistics and Economics from Auburn University and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Chicago. He is regularly invited to speak at insurance and other industry conferences and has been profiled in professional journals.
